The Namma Metro link between the Airport and the City is planned with two stations at the Airport. The rail network halting at K.I.A. is connected to the airport terminal via short five-minute shuttle buses. The plans also include hyper-electrification of the route to introduce comfortable MEMU trains to the Airport.
Along with this development, MEMU trains from Mysore that terminate at Yelahanka are slated to be extended up to Devanahalli through the K.I.A. halt station, benefitting airport-bound passengers from Mysore, Ramanagara, and Bidadi.
